ASUS VG278HE Monitor To Have 144 Hz TN Panel

It looks like ASUS wasn’t content to be one with the pack when it comes to 120Hz monitors. Instead they have pushed past 120Hz all the way up to 144Hz with the VG278HE, which has been designed to make gaming performance in 2D and 3D even smoother. The monitor from ASUS is a 27-inch and is the successor to the VG278H, it is the first monitor to make use of a 144Hz-enabled panel. ASUS went with a TN panel for this particular model with a 1920×1080 resolution and 2 ms G2G response time. ASUS has also made sure the monitor supports NVIDIA’s 3D Vision 2, but it will need to be purchased separately. Display connectivity consists of Dual-Link DVI, VGA, and HDMI. 2x3W speakers have also been built in with a mini-jack for headphones. Swivel, Tilt as well as height adjustment options are also part of the design from the get go. Pricing and availability is currently unknown.

Asus has announced a new 27-inch monitor and the successor to the VG278H. The new model is called VG278HE and is the first monitor to implement a 144 Hz-enabled panel. This adds an extra of 24 pictures per second over 120 Hz monitors. Asus says that this should improve 2D and 3D gaming even further but the true performs remains to be tested.
